Montblanc Meisterstück 149 est un stylo plume fabriqué depuis 1952 et qui reste aujourd'hui l'un des meilleurs stylos plume pour l'écriture manuscrite. Sa taille est grande, atteignant 146,1 mm de long et 13,7 mm d'épaisseur, ce qui permet une grande capacité de charge.

Un détail particulier de ce stylo-plume sont les trois anneaux dorés sur son capuchon. Au milieu, l'anneau doré est gravé du numéro de série et du nom de Montblanc, et sert à vérifier l'authenticité du stylo. Son capuchon est en résine précieuse et en forme de torpille et comporte un clip plaqué or avec un numéro de série individuel.
Le filetage à l'intérieur du corps est en résine haute résistance et pour boucher ou déboucher complètement le stylo-plume, il faut le tourner trois fois. Il y a également de petites encoches qui indiquent le niveau de charge. L'un des points forts de ce modèle est sa plume en or 18 carats fabriquée à la main avec incrustation de platine, disponible en EF, F, M, OM, OB, OBB, B et BB, qui en fait un instrument d'écriture luxueux dans la plus pure tradition européenne.
