The iconic Swiss watch brand Mondaine is the official manufacturer and distributor of the official watches of the Swiss Railways. Many of its models have a series of particularities, as the hand that marks the seconds turns in 58 seconds and then stops at number 12 for 2 seconds, the moment at which the trains left the Swiss stations. In addition, they have a red second hand ending with a small circle, reminiscent of the red shovel that the stationmaster used to announce that the train was ready to leave.
