    Funcionalidades
    Special features:
    • Maki-e is the art of Japanese lacquer painting and is renowned for its beauty and artistry. The word Maki-e literally translates as “sprinkled picture” because the design is sprinkled with gold or silver powder.
    • For the process, the rare Japanese lacquer Urushi is used in a multitude of layers which are polished many times. The design is drawn with colored lacquer onto the surface. It is then sprinkled with a multitude of lacquer-layers. This is called the Togidashi-Maki-e technique
    • The Pelikan model “Renjishi” is a masterpiece completely covered in gold dust with a finely-chased 18 carat gold nib accentuated with a rhodium décor. This limited edition was released in 2009.
    • Taka-Maki-e lacquering completes the process with carbon powder to give the pen's surface some texture.
    • The Pelikan logo on the crown, limited edition number (only 88 units worldwide) and artist’s signature are drawn in by hand with the Maki-e technique.
    • Renjishi is a story that was writen for traditional Japanese theatre style "Kabuki". This limited edition pen represents the climatic scene where father (white-haired) and son (red-haired) perform a wonderful dance together. This pen comes with an impressive Paulonia wood presentation box and lifetime warranty.
