Bishamonten was considered the God of war by the samurais; nowadays, those who pray to him are those in need of luck in a competition. In the body, he is seen wearing armor and battling a demon. In one hand, he holds a small stupa, a sacred building for meditation, and the cap is adorned with the Dharma wheel, a well-known Buddhist symbol.
