This fountain pen is inspired in the count Alexander von Faber Castell. The muse of this piece comes from the impressive design of his study and the success of the green pencil Casteel 9000 in 1905, developed by him. The craftsmanship and the elegance characterize this masterpiece. This stunning fountain pen also combines the finest materials. The metal parts are made of solid silver, and the hand-engraved nib is of 18 carat bicolor gold. The characteristic double knurling embellish the front end of the flutter cap. The initials of Ottilie, Alexander and the shared family name Faber-Castell (A, O, F and C) are engraved on the end of the cap in fine filigree work requiring extreme precision. It contains a decorative ring on the cap that presents the inscription “Handmade in Germany”. Finally, the name of the collection, “Limited Edition Heritage”, is engraved on the end piece along with the number of copies produced: 1898. This number is chosen in representation of the year in which Ottilie and Alexander married. Each fountain pen is supplied with an exclusive case.
